Inspired by the idea of my business being a reflection of me and who "I" am came my business name of "Bitty Buttons". Using my maiden name of Klein, a strong German background that means "little", and my married name of Guzik, a strong Polish background meaning "buttons", Bitty Buttons was launched in 1990.
My name is Susan Guzik, I am the owner and designer of Bitty Buttons and it is my grand passion to create. I love fabric and the idea of making something simple into something unique and special!
It really is very simple; I have always found joy in creative expression along with a knack for style and a long-standing love for traditional clothing with a twist. I have honed my skills since childhood. My mother taught me my sewing skills and before long I was designing for my dolls and a 4-H'r looking for a winning ribbon at the fair. As a mother of two, I quickly became inspired by the idea of my own children wearing clothing that was unlike anything on the shelves, and Bitty Buttons was born! My children are now in college and they continue to inspire me!
